Our Products - Poultry & Eggs
Our poultry is raised in our pastures where they eat grass which is free of chemicals and a custom mixed feed composed of natural products. The broilers are inside netting where the birds receive plenty of exercise, sunshine and fresh air. The portable shelters inside the netting protect them from bad weather. The birds move out of the brooders to the pastures as soon as they feather out at about 2-3 weeks of age. This year we are raising Cornish cross poultry. They eat grass which is free of chemicals and a custom mixed feed composed of natural products. To achieve a low stress environment for growing, Pyrenees guard dogs protect them from predators.
The laying hens are Rhode Island Reds this year. They are raised in the pasture too and are housed in a converted cotton wagon we call the "egg mobile". They are proteced by guard dogs too.
